Matcha Green Tea and Wheatgrass Smoothie

Follow this recipe for creamy fresh delicious-ness in a jar!!




Matcha green tea powder is the highest quality powdered green tea there is. Some of the benefits include, very high levels of antioxidant, raised energy levels for up to 4 hours, boosted metabolism, regulated blood sugar levels and a created state of calm with mental alertness.

In other words we need to get it in our lives!



Ingredients:

1 frozen banana
1 pear
1 avocado
A big handful of spinach
1 tsp matcha powder
1 tsp wheatgrass
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup almond milk (or any milk you prefer)
2 medjool dates (Optional if you prefer a sweeter smoothie)



Instructions:

1) Quarter and de-seed the pear, chop and place in blender along with the peeled frozen banana, almond milk, vanilla.

2) Halve the avocado, remove the stone and scoop the flesh into the blender.

3) Then if you are using them add the dates (minus the stone!), spinach, matcha powder and wheatgrass powder. Blend until completely smooth. If it is a little too thick add a splash of water and blend again.

4) Time to serve up! I love serving in a jar with a funky straw as you can see....
