This is the perfect juice to have either everyday or once in a while for a nutrients top up! As there are only two fruits in thhe juice along with lots of vegetables so if you were to have this in the morning it would definitely
kick start your day! If I needed something slightly more filling though I would add 1/4 the amount of almond milk to juice for that extra source of protein.
(NB you will need a juicer for this recipe not a lender. A cold press juicer preferably as it keeps more of the nutrients of the juice than a normal juicer.)
Ingredients:
- 4 cucumbers
- 6 celery stalks
- 5 apples
- 1/2 bag of kale
- 1/2 bag of spinach
- 1 thumb size piece of ginger
- Juice of 2 lemons
Recipe:
1) Using a 1.5 litre airtight container that will hold the juice and put under the spout of the juicer.
2) Cut up all of the ingredients to size as to fit in the juicer and peal ginger.
(When starting to juice I find that some of the ingredients juice easer than others so I have an order to doing them but this is completely optional)
3) Start to juice the ingredients as follows: Cucumbers, apples, spinach, kale, ginger and celery.
4) When finished juicing, mix the juice then add the juice of the lemons and mix again.
5) Put the lid on the juice as quickly as possible after juicing as you do not want the juice to oxidize (aka keeping it as fresh as possible!)
6) Keep this juice airtight when not using and refrigerated at all times. In the fridge this juice will keep well for 72 hours.
