As the temperatures are getting warmer and we all aren't eating hot meals constantly for warmth, it is so nice to have a refreshing chilled meal once in a while, enter guac. So nourishing with a creamy texture and great flavour you can pair it with any dish or have it as your main meal.
There are so many benefits of eating avocado to boost your health. It is full
of Vitamins B5, B6, C, E and K as well as Potassium. It even has more Potassium per 100g than bananas! Lastly avocado is a high fat food... But wait is full of GOOD fats that should be included in a healthy diet.
1 avocado
4 small tomatoes or 1 medium tomato
Lime juice
Salt and pepper
Chilli flakes
Garlic powder
(Below Instructions are photos of the method)
1) Chop the tomatoes into small chunks and then sprinkle a small amount of salt and pepper leave while prepping the avocado.
2) On another plate or preparation board, scoop out the flesh of one avocado and throw away stone and and skin.
3) Mash with the back of a fork the avocado until the desired consistency (I like a couple of chunks left) then sprinkle a small amount of salt, a good squeeze of a lime (I used ready brought lime juice as I had run out of limes), garlic granules and a pinch of chilli flakes.
4) Mix together then add to the tomatoes and combine together. Serve immediately or airtight in the fridge. Best consumed that day but will keep in the fridge for a couple of days.
